Nijo Castle


"Nijō Castle (Japanese: 二条城, Nijō-jo)" is a castle that Tokugawa Ieyasu (徳川家康, He was 1st Shogun (将軍) of the Tokugawa shogunate (徳川幕府, Tokugawa Bakufu)) built as a stay place in Kyoto. Nijo Castle was registered in World Heritage as "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto" in 1994.
The public transportation facility to Nijo Castle are "Kyoto Municipal Subway (京都地下鉄, Kyoto chikatetsu)" or "Kyoto City bus (京都市バス, Kyoto shi basu)". Nijo Castle is Soon walking from the Nijo-jo mae Station, Ease-West line (東西線, Tozai-sen), Kyoto Municipal Subway, or From JR Kyoto Station to 15 minutes by bus (No. 9, 50 or 101).
