Nishi Hongan-ji Temple

"Nishi Hongan-ji Temple (Japanese: 西本願寺)" is a head temple of "Jōdo Shinshū Honganji sub-section (浄土真宗本願寺派)" that is the Buddhism religious sorority of a Japanese maximum level. Jōdo Shinshū (浄土真宗, True Pure Land School) is a sect of a Japanese Buddhism, and the Buddhism religious sorority founded by the monk "Shinran Shōnin (親鸞聖人)" at the early-Kamakura period (鎌倉時代 (Kamakura jidai), 1185 – 1333). In Nishi-Hongan-ji Temple, there are a lot of buildings (Chinese style Gate (唐門, Kara-mon), Hiun-kaku Pavilion (飛雲閣, Hiun-kaku), Shoin (書院), Black Shoin (黒書院)) and gardens (Hongan-ji Dai-Sho-in Garden (本願寺大書院庭園), Tekisui-en Garden (滴翠園)) where the Momoyama culture (桃山文化, latter half of the 16th century) is represented. Nishi Hongan-ji Temple was registered in World Heritage as "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto" in 1994.
The public transportation facility to Nishi Hongan-ji Temple is "Kyoto City bus (京都市バス, Kyoto shi basu)". Nishi Hongan-ji Temple is from the JR Kyoto Station (No. 28 bus) to about 10 minutes by bus, or From Kyoto Station to 15 minutes on foot.
